 PLOS collaborates with ORCID to include credit for reviewers
PLOS has announced that its collaboration with ORCID now includes credit for reviewers. For more than five years, PLOS authors have used ORCID to make their professional lives easier. Now reviewers at PLOS can take advantage of the same benefits to track their contributions, claim credit, and build up their research profiles. Reviewers can now enter their ORCID iD in the Editorial Manager submission system for all PLOS journals and automatically get credit when they complete a review, the same way they would for their published articles.

 Plans for a new Open Access Book Network take shape
Foundational planning is currently underway for the formation of an Open Access Book Network. Development of this network was the topic of a recent ELPUB 2019 Conference panel session led by Eelco Ferwerda from OAPEN, with the University of Cambridge’s Rupert Gatti, Pierre Mounier of OPERAS, Andrea Bertino of SUB Goettingen, and SPARC Europe Director Vanessa Proudman.

 All ARPHA-hosted journals indexed in Transpose to support transparency in journal policies
All open-access, peer-reviewed academic titles of Pensoft, as well as those using the white-label publishing solution provided by the scholarly publishing platform ARPHA, have their journal policy data fed into the Transpose database, in order to increase their discoverability and transparency. As a result of the recent integration with the community-sourced initiative Transpose, details about each journal’s approach to peer review, co-review and preprint publication can be easily accessed, navigated and compared through a user-friendly interface.

 EDP Sciences journals reports impressive results in 2019 Journal Citation Reports
EDP Sciences has reported excellent results in the 2019 Journal Citation Reports® (JCR) published byClarivate Analytics. Twenty-one EDP Sciences journals are tracked, over half of which show an increase in their Impact Factor with nine increasing by over 10%. Astronomy & Astrophysics earned an increased Impact Factor of 6.209 – up 11.6% from last year. It is now the leading original research journal in its field and has retained its rank of 10/69 in the Astronomy and Astrophysics category which has more journals in it than last year.
