Springer membership of OASPA reinstated with immediate effect
In a statement on the OASPA blog in April 2014, OASPA’s Membership Committee made the decision to place Springer’s membership under review as a result of concerns that were raised regarding the peer review policies of several of its conference proceedings. The Membership Committee is now of the view that Springer has taken appropriate steps to strengthen their peer review processes, and have therefore reinstated Springer as a full member of OASPA with immediate effect.

HARRASSOWITZ, a global full-service subscription agent and bookseller, has awarded the 2014 Charleston Conference Scholarship to Charlotte Roh, Scholarly Communication Resident Librarian at the University of Massachusetts in Amherst. Ms. Roh was awarded the $1,000 scholarship to attend the conference, which takes place November 5 – 8 in Charleston, South Carolina.
