Karger receives three Highly Commended award at 2016 BMA Medical Book Awards
Medical and scientific publisher Karger Publishers has announced that three of its titles received a ‘Highly Commended’ award at the 2016 British Medical Association’s Medical Book Awards ceremony held in London. The BMA Medical Book Competition takes place annually to encourage and reward excellence in medical publishing. Prizes are awarded in 21 categories from a total of over 600 entries submitted by publishers across the world.

Academic publisher Cambridge University Press has launched a new academic platform Cambridge Core, bringing together all CUP academic content in one place for the first time. Cambridge Core replaces the Press’s two main platforms, Cambridge Journals Online and Cambridge Books Online, including over 360 journals and 30,000 ebooks.

Dr. Bahman Guyuron named editor-in-chief of the Journal of the International Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery
Dr. Bahman Guyuron has been appointed as the new editor-in-chief of the official journal of the International Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery (ISAPS) which represents 3,300 board certified (or the equivalent) plastic surgeons in 104 countries. The ISAPS editor-in-chief will assume responsibility for the journal that addresses the work of the global community and provides a forum for original articles advancing the art of aesthetic plastic surgery.
