Elsevier partners with the International Society for Neurovascular Disease to develop and publish co-branded neurovascular disease book series
STM publisher Elsevier has partnered with the International Society for Neurovascular Disease (ISNVD) to develop and publish an ISNVD-cobranded series of books covering various topics in neurovascular disease. Mary M. Case begins one-year term as president of the Association of Research Libraries
Mary M. Case, university librarian and dean of libraries at University of Illinois at Chicago, began a one-year term as president of the Association of Research Libraries (ARL) on September 28, 2016, during the Association’s Fall 2016 Meeting in Washington, DC. Case succeeds Larry Alford, chief librarian at University of Toronto, as ARL president. Alford continues to serve as a member of both the Board of Directors and the Executive Committee as past president.

Global library cooperative OCLC and the Society of College, National and University Libraries (SCONUL) have announced a new agreement for the provision of collaborative after-hours virtual reference services in the United Kingdom and Ireland. The agreement is based on the successful initial pilot and now, established service, run with The Northern Collaboration consortium of libraries.
