Case, university librarian and dean of libraries at University of Illinois at Chicago, began a one-year term as president of the Association of Research Libraries (ARL) on September 28, 2016, during the Association’s Fall 2016 Meeting in Washington, DC. Case succeeds Larry Alford, chief librarian at University of Toronto, as ARL president.
