International Open Access Week 2018 – Thieme presents its OA portfolio |
Medical and scientific publishing house the Thieme Group has continuously expanded their open access offering, with 13 journals dedicated to various medical fields added this year alone. The open access portfolio meanwhile comprises more than 40 international journals. Moreover, almost all of Thieme’s 170 journal titles offer open access options as well. Many of the journals are published in close collaboration with medical and scientific associations. In time for the Open Access Week, Thieme launched the Journal of Gastrointestinal and Abdominal Radiology, a publication of the Indian medical association in the field. National Academy of Sciences appoints May R. Berenbaum as Editor-in-Chief of the Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences |
The National Academy of Sciences (NAS) has announced the appointment of May R. Berenbaum as Editor-in-Chief of the Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences (PNAS), the official journal of the Academy. Berenbaum will begin the editorship on January 1, 2019. Berenbaum is Professor and Swanlund Chair of Entomology at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. The American Society of Hematology (ASH) has entered into an agreement with Doctor Evidence (DRE) to host ASH annual meeting abstracts in DRE’s innovative DOC Search artificial intelligence technology platform. This subscription offering includes all abstract content back to 2016 along with the current year’s annual meeting abstracts as they are released from embargo, thus enabling researchers to longitudinally probe and track data, methods, results, and changing research foci in the fields of hematology and oncology.
