 Springer Nature and ResearchGate extend content sharing pilot
Springer Nature and ResearchGate have extended their content sharing pilot. The second iteration of the pilot will now see four times more Springer Nature content being rolled out across the ResearchGate platform, including content from specialised Springer journals. This enhanced accessibility means more Springer Nature authors will benefit from this partnership along with more Springer Nature-published content on the ResearchGate platform for ResearchGate users to access, download and share.

 BMJ and the Ministry of Health of Kazakhstan collaborate to launch BMJ’s Clinical Decision Support Initiative in Kazakhstan
Medical knowledge provider BMJ is working in collaboration with the Ministry of Health (MoH) of Kazakhstan to implement its Clinical Decision Support (CDS) Training Initiative, a three-year programme aimed at improving detection, diagnosis and management of infectious diseases in Kazakhstan. The main strength of any health system is the knowledge of its healthcare providers. Health systems around the world fall behind because proven information doesn’t reach frontline providers fast enough. BMJ’s initiative will build the capacities of Kazakh doctors and strengthen the national health system.

 Jisc appoints Liam Earney as new executive director to lead Jisc’s library, discovery and open access service portfolio
Jisc has announced the appointment of Liam Earney as executive director for digital resources. Liam will lead on a portfolio of services containing licensing, library, content, discovery and open access as well as Jisc’s provision of the UK Data Service, effective August 1. Liam will be responsible for launching the open research hub, a new service that offers a one-stop-shop for managing, preserving and sharing digital research data.
