Elsevier, a global information analytics business specialising in science and health, and LogicStream Health, a leading provider of clinical process improvement and control software, will collaborate to meet health systems’ needs for optimising their nursing practice and documentation. Elsevier and LogicStream Health are tackling the problem of nurse documentation burden together by closely aligning their products: LogicStream Health’s Clinical Process Improvement and Control Software Solutions and Elsevier’s Care Planning.

 VIVA and Wiley sign progressive new agreement to drive Open Access
John Wiley and Sons Inc. and The Virtual Library of Virginia (VIVA), Virginia’s academic library consortium, have signed a comprehensive agreement which combines open access publishing funds with their journal subscriptions – the first of its kind in North America. The two-year pilot utilises the Wiley Open Access Account solution to allow VIVA researchers to publish in fully gold open access journals using a central fund for article publication charges (APCs).

The Web of Science Group (a Clarivate Analytics company) has entered into a new partnership with Emerald Publishing, to pilot the industry’s first cross-publisher, scalable and transparent peer review workflow from Publons and ScholarOne across three of Emerald’s leading journals. Transparent peer review shows the complete peer review process from initial review to final decision, and has gained popularity with authors, reviewers and editors alike in recent years.

 Frontiers and the University of Mainz form open access publishing agreement
The University Library of Johannes Gutenberg University of Mainz (Universitätsbibliothek Mainz) has established an institutional central invoicing membership agreement for open access publishing with Frontiers. Under the terms of this agreement, eligible authors affiliated with the Johannes Gutenberg University of Mainz (JGU Mainz) or with the University Medical Center may publish in any Frontiers journal at no cost to them, and with a simplified process.
