John Wiley and Sons Inc. has announced a new partnership with the Agricultural & Applied Economics Association (AAEA). Beginning in January 2020, Wiley will assume publishing responsibility for the two prestigious journals of the AAEA – the American Journal of Agricultural Economics and Applied Economic Perspectives and Policy.

 Web of Science Group names Dr. Erjia Yan as recipient of 2019 Eugene Garfield Award for Innovation in Citation Analysis
The Web of Science Group, a Clarivate Analytics company, has named Dr. Erjia Yan as the recipient of the 2019 Eugene Garfield Award for Innovation in Citation Analysis, at the 17th International Conference on Scientometrics and Informetrics in Rome. This award recognises scientists who work on innovative approaches to citation analysis which improve how the impact of scientific research is measured. This field of study, also known as scientometrics, was pioneered by Dr Eugene Garfield, founder of the Institute for Scientific Information.

 Stellenbosch University launches institutional data repository SUNScholarData, powered by Figshare
Stellenbosch University (SU) has launched their new institutional data repository, SUNScholarData, powered by Figshare. Their repository is available at https://scholardata.sun.ac.za/. Their new data repository allows research data outputs from the University to be stored, shared, and cited, giving researchers credit for all their work. All outputs in their repository are assigned a DOI for persistent identification and data is marked for indexing in search engines like Google Dataset Search.

 ARL-CNI Fall Forum Registration deadline extended through September 9
The 2019 Fall Forum, to be hosted by the Association of Research Libraries (ARL) and the Coalition for Networked Information (CNI), is scheduled for September 26, in Washington, DC. A few spots are still available and interested parties may register by September 9. The 2019 forum’s goal is to help us understand what research libraries are doing as catalytic leaders now and to discuss and recommend what more is required to contribute to institutions, the research and learning ecosystem, and society.
